JAMBO!! i HAVE 8 minutes and four seconds left to write this blog...our internet connection has been out since Friday...i have so so much to write about...but the only system is an hour up the road by bus - so here we go!! Busy, but doing so much...the Huruma orphanage is really coming together, yesterday an all day meeting in the mud floored dark room with the chair, secretary, treasurer, Charles and I, teachers, cleaner and cooks....going through upcoming responsibilities of everyone...communication, conflict resolutions...money, oh my gawd what a meeting, but i think we accomplished so so much..the building is coming along well...
Miracles happen here everyday....someone gave me $100 US to help a woman with three kids, no future..she now has a one acre plot, tools, maize seeds, fertilizer and someone to help her cultivate before the big rains come in a month...a visit a few days ago to a friends sister with a terrible flesh eating disease, my friend from Penn. called wanting more information, we've taken pics with the diagnosis from drs. here, and firing them over for help...swim lessons with the orphaned kids..too much to write and no time. but soon i will settle into it.happy and safe and very glad to be here..much love to you all, and again, thank you so much for helping with all of this..xxLynn
